The trade fair took place for the 28th time and more than 50,000 guests were expected to check out organic products at the event that had grown over the years. 8 Estonia based organic companies participated at the fair.
After the fair in late February, Organic Estonia hosted a roundtable with Estonian exhibitors at BioFach to analyse the visibility and success of Estonian organic products at a major trade fair.
The largest organic fair in the world, BioFach/Vivaness 2018 took place from 14 to 17 February in Nuremberg, Germany with over 3,200 participants (275 of them at Vivaness) from 93 countries. There were in total 50,000 visitors from 134 countries.
Each year the number of exhibitors and visitors grows, and several new exhibition halls were taken into use this year. During the fair, over 150 seminars with approximately 9,000 participants took place. The most popular were presentations and discussions concerning the development of the organic sector.
