BioFach is one of the world’s leading trade fairs for organic food, bringing together representatives from 130 countries. In 2016 there were 48,533 visitors and 2325 exhibitors at the fair. The BioFach trade fair is held every year. In the framework of the fair, a congress and several additional events are organized. Most visitors come from Italy, Austria, the Netherlands, France and Spain.

Participation in the fair was the first major step of the Organic Estonia movement in the public with the aim of bringing together the domestic organic producers, enhancers and consumers, increasing the export balance of Estonian organic produce and introducing Estonia as a country where organic products and mentality are normal and valued. 12 organic producers participated in the joint exhibition.
From 15 to 18 February the 28th world’s largest organic food fair BIOFACH took place in Nuremberg, Germany with a parallel fair VIVANESS for natural cosmetics and body as domestic care products. Over 51,000 persons from 134 countries visited the fairs, there were 2,785 exhibitors from 88 countries. This year, Estonia was also represented.
