Saaremaa Dairy is the largest organic dairy plant of Estonia. The cow milk is supplied to the factory by the farmers that operate in the islands of Saaremaa, Hiiumaa and Muhu. In this modern state-of-art factory the cow milk of Western Estonian islands is processed into top-quality cheese, quark and butter products, including organic and lactose-free goods. There are cellars for smoked and long matured cheese, spiced snacks and cagliata.
Saaremaa Dairy (Saaremaa Piimatööstus) shares great experiences in the production of dairy products dating back to 1843. The islands are well known for the clean nature environment and undisturbed landscapes. Organic pasture-based cheese is aged to perfection in the cellars of Saaremaa Dairy. The taste of the eminently aromatic milk is found to be the result of the natural pasture resources that include wild orchid flowers and various minerals.
